Abstract/Notes
Pain in idiopathic scoliosis is discussed with respect to the magnitude of the problem, differential diagnosis of tissue origins, and mechanisms of pain production. A case is presented which illustrates the successful resolution of myofascial pain with a short course of manipulation, soft tissue therapy, and home exercises. It is suggested that scoliotics may be kept pain free for prolonged periods of time. This abstract is reproduced with the permission of the publisher.
